After seeing a need for professional theatre training in the Quad Cities area, Producer Kim Furness decided to begin Conservatory programming through The Curtainbox. Classes began shortly after securing our beautiful office and studio space on the historic Annie Wittenmyer Campus in Davenport in October, 2009. Since then, the program has grown tremendously.

We currently offer training in many areas of theatre performance for adults and youth, including acting for stage, acting for film, improv, musical theatre and more. Classes are available for all experience levels, from novice to professional. We also provide private acting coaching and private voice lessons for any age.

By recruiting the best instructors, we ensure that all our students have the best possible experience. Our instructors are working theatre professionals with extensive training in their areas of expertise.
